Wild-foraged Chaga in Canada

The “Great Work” begins in the depths of a Canadian boreal forest, where we seek out the most pristine healthy chaga mushrooms (40 years and up). This can take many hours of foraging to find even a single chaga mushroom. It’s a real labor of love. Once we’ve found it, we practice a sustainable harvesting method leaving 20% on the tree to encourage future fruition of the species. 

Sun-dried for 72 Hours

After foraging we clean our chaga with well water and leave it out to sun-dry for 72 hours - this is vastly different from the common commercial practice of dehydrating the mushrooms which only removes the moisture but adds nothing back in (a cardinal sin in alchemy). We sun-dry our wild chaga in order to allow the violet light and potentially millions of other, still unknown light spectrums to imbue the chaga, thus at the minimum, vitamin D2 is absorbed, but at the maximum, it’s a treasure trove of light. 

Celestial Calendar Alignment

Once the wild chaga is fully dried, we wait for the stars to align (quite literally) before we begin our dual-extraction process. Only when the celestial calendar signifies its a proper astrological alignment do we start this multi-year endeavor for the purpose of harnessing planetary resonance.

Miron Biophotonic Violet-Glass

The glass we use to extract our wild chaga is none-other-than Miron biophotonic violetglass made in Germany which is by far the most beneficial glass to extract herbs inside of due to its unique composition that only allows in violet light, UV-A, and infrared light to penetrate, while blocking the full spectrum of visible light that can degrade natural products. This selective filtering protects and preserves the biophotonic (lifeforce) activity of the contents, extending shelf life and maintaining potency.

Artisanal Dual-Extraction

The alcohol we specifically chose as an extraction medium is an artisan Whiskey from Islay, Scotland - utilizing sustainably farmed organic barley and islay spring water that’s been trickle distilled using the vintage Victorian machinery. This is one of the most notoriously overlooked aspects in herbalism that the entirety of the mushroom tincture market misses or chooses to ignore. The base of the herbal/mushroom tincture MUST be pristine and from a pure source, otherwise you are putting the medicine directly inside a poison (aka genetically modified grain alcohol).  Hence why we specifically note this in regards to our mushroom tincture line. 

990 Day Extraction

Once the chaga pieces are submerged in the alcohol base, we close the lid and let the spirit of time work on liberating the fat-soluble elements that are plentifully available within chaga mushroom including the immune-supercharging compounds: betulinic acid, inotodiol, sterols and triterpenes. The charging vessel is sat on a mat of sacred geometry for the next 3 years (33 Months) to slowly extract. with the occasional homeopathic “succussion” technique employed to stir the mixture, along with a blessing.

24 Organic Boreal Herbs Formula

Upon completion of the extraction time the chaga mushrooms are then hot water brewed in an alchemical formula of 24 organic roots, barks, berries and herbs using a base of fresh spring water. This process takes upwards 48 hours to complete, all the while the flavor profile develops into tasting notes of creamy maple, honeyed citrus, and woodsmoke. The hot water extraction liberates chaga mushroom’s water-soluble compounds that nourish the pineal gland, skin and liver, including: beta glucans, polyphenols, melanin, polysaccharides and phenolic acids.
